Our Story
Dehqan Asri Seed Production Company and Agricultural Services (DASCAS) was established in 2009 by Mr. Mohammad Ibrahim Karimi amid Afghanistan’s critical need for agricultural transformation. With decades of experience in agriculturaldevelopment, Mr. Karimi recognized that sustainable change required addressing multiple interconnected challenges: outdated farming practices, limited access toquality inputs, poor market linkages, and widespread malnutrition. DASCAS wasfounded as a comprehensive solution to these systemic issues, combiningcommercial viability with developmental impact.
2009 - 2011
Initial focus on establishing certified wheat seed production systems, building partnerships with MAIL and local farmers, and developing quality assurance protocols.
2012 - 2014
Strategic diversification into soybean cultivation and processing, recognizing its dual potential for improving farmer incomes and combating malnutrition. Establishment of the Mother Stock Nursery (MSN) to address declining orchard productivity nationwide.
2015 - 2018
Significant infrastructure development with the
construction of the soybean processing factory and expansion of seed
cleaning and storage facilities. Introduction of the innovative soyfortified flour concept
2019 - Present
Digitalization of farmer outreach programs, development of the Nutriana brand identity, and expansion into export markets for certified fruit saplings.
